Life Alone in the Big City

I moved from a small city in AL to the big city of Atlanta three months ago. Moving has never been a problem for me. I grew up an Army brat; we moved every 18 months. I moved away from home after high school to go to college. This time, though, I moved away from my home, from my friends. I moved away from the security and comfort of those I love. And ever since then, I've dealt with the loneliness that accompanied that decision. It was easier to do things alone when I lived in MGM. I could choose to be social or solitary. Now I have no choice. Pretty much everything I do is alone. It's easier to be alone when you have the option not to be.
